Model 1795 Springfield Musket Converted to Percussion. 44 ½ " barrel is 69 caliber and has a good bore. The lock is marked "US" (in script) over an eagle facing right over "Springfield" in front of the hammer and "1808" behind the hammer. The buttplate is also dated 1808. The barrel is mostly brown and exhibits some pitting mostly towards the nipple area, and the rear left side is stamped with a "P", eagle and "V". The wood stock is sound but about 13 to 14" have been cut off. The first band is intact and the front band with sight has been slid back to where the second band should be. The front 16" of barrel is exposed. Should be easy to bring back to original specs.
