Two items: an unsigned, circular comic book-style 17.5 x 17.5 poster for a two-day Moby Grape concert at Hollywood’s Kaleidoscope music venue on May 17-18, 1968, showing an alternate version of the Green Lantern and listing The Hourglass and Mt. Rushmore as supporting acts; and silver ink and blue ballpoint signatures of the original lineup, “Jerry Miller,” “Don Stevenson,” “Peter Lewis,” and “Bob Mosley” on a white 5 x 3.5 Moby Grape-printed card. The poster is matted and framed to an overall size of 24.25 x 24.25. In overall fine condition. The addition of “The Real” to the Moby Grape billing stems from an ongoing feud between the band and their former manager Matthew Katz, whose claim to their name resulted in his formation of a second ‘real’ Moby Grape act culled from various musicians around the Seattle music scene. Oversized.
