One of Japan’s most skilled fliers, Fuchida (1902–1976) commanded the air attack against Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and was the last to leave the battle area. After World War II, Fuchida converted to Christianity and became a nondenominational preacher, traveling frequently to America and later becoming a U. S. citizen. Signed book: From Pearl Harbor to Golgotha. First edition. San Jose: Sky Pilots Press, 1953. Hardcover, 5.5 x 7.5, 94 pages. Signed in fountain pen on the front free end page, “Mitsuo Fuchida, Luke 23:34,” Fuchida also adding his name in Japanese characters. In fine condition, with a couple tears to dustjacket, wrinkling to front board, as well as some scattered toning and soiling.
