This is an excellent scarce Mississippian Native American Indian culture Cemochechobee “Canoe” handled pipe. The piece shows two round handles like a vessel along the top with various carved accents and the pipe elbow below. The Mississippian Cemochechobee culture was the ceremonial center on the Chattahoochee River, generally known as the South Appalachian Mississippian. The Cemochechobee Mississippian culture dates to 1000 CE to 1450 CE with very little being recovered from this culture. The piece displays very well and shows good museum quality condition for its age. Measures 6.5”W x 5.25”H x 2”D. Review pictures for description correctness, condition, and age.
