Russian violinist (1891–1967), who began his virtuosic career as a child and played Carnegie Hall at age 17. His recording career spanned six decades, and in 1943 his record sales exceeded two million. Uncommon original 6.5 x 4.25 cabinet photo of Elman playing his violin, signed and inscribed at the bottom of the image in black ink. Some irregular adhesion to the signature, heavy tape remnants and slight chipping to borders, and a skinned back, otherwise very good condition.
