Lot of 23. Foreign Mineral Specimens and Odd Ore specimens. Most items in this lot are small, around 1-2cm in diameter, there are several that are considerably large, around 4-6cm in diameter. Highlights include the following: “Cobaltocalcite” (“CaCO­3+CoCO3”)- this sample is from Spain and is hard, dull, with a top sheet of a purple, opaque substance- quite appealing; Erythrite- a cobalt arsenate mineral which usually occurs in a purple to peach/pink hue and is found in the northern United States, Ontario, Canada, Australia, Germany, Morocco, and Czech Republic; Small pieces of Manganite, high luster, Philippines; several samples of Albite; Rhodochrosite, rhombohedral carbonate cleavege –splitting in three directions, typically occurs in light pink to ruby in hue, can be translucent- this specimen is dull yet colorful- Nagpur, India.
