This antique majolica tree trunk garden seat was attributed to Minton and appraised by Sotheby's in 1988 for $3,250. (We will be happy to provide a copy of the appraisal at time of sale.) It features a green and brown glazed bark surface and pierced handle top. Measures 16" high. Condition is very good. There are just a few chips here and there, and no visible cracks nor repairs.

Additional images gladly forwarded upon request.

This item comes from the collection of Roni Steinberg Sokoloff and resided in her former 63-acre estate in Bedford New York known as Cantitoe Farms. (Formerly known as Sycamore Farms, the estate is down the street from Martha Stewart's estate.) The seat was purchased by Ms. Sokoloff in the 1980s.
