The 1934 University of Minnesota Golden Golphers were the first team to win a national football championship and won three straight championships from 1934 to 1936. Pencil signatures of 42 members of the 1934 University of Minnesota football team on a 6.5 x 10.75 sheet affixed to a slightly larger page. The top of the page is inscribed to Bud Elvgren and dated November 27, 1934. Signers include: Phil Bengtson, Bill Proffitt, Sam Hunt, George Tuttle, Clarence Minor, Sheldon Berse, Prof. Ole Olson, Stan Kostka, Ly Knudsen, Bob Tenner, Bill Bevan, Andy Anderson, L. J. Cooke, Dave MacMillan, Dick Smith, Butch Larson (cut from another page and affixed), Francis Lund, Bernie Bierman, George Hauser, George Rennix, Bud Svenson, Frank Dallera, Arthur Clarkson, and Bud Wilkinson. In very good condition, with moderate toning and soiling.
