Minnesota Gold Mining Company (Minnesota) A two share certificate in black on white issued in 1866 and signed as President by Henry Hastings Sibley. Litho. Sibley was a fur trader who served as a delegate to the United States Congress from Wisconsin Territory in 1848-49 and from 1849-53 held the same office from Minnesota Territory. He also served as Governor of Minnesota during the period 1858-1860 and was a General in the Union Army during the Civil War. He is buried in Oakland Cemetery in St. Paul, Minnesota. A scarce gold mining certificate with a significant Minnesota history connection. Revenue stamp attached. Uncancelled. Very Fine. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
