"Mexican Gold & Silver Min. Co." was part of the North End mines, the claim was 100' , it was staked in 1859, later it was incorporated with the Ophir Shaft. "Consolidated Calif. & Virginia Min. Co".- Formed in 1867, Owned by the bank crowd, this was the mine that brought forth the "Big Bonanza" that was found in 1873. "Ophir Silver Mining Co".- First mine on the Comstock, in 1859, the claim was 675', it yielded 20 Million Dollars. "Best & Belcher, Min. Co"., Staked in 1859, situated between the Gould & Curry & Con. Virg., work halted in 1863 because of no profitable ore, then resumed in 1872. "Ophir Mill"- In 1861 the Ophir Mining Co. erected a Mill for the reduction of ore from the Ophir Mine, the mill was built on Washoe lakes west shore.City: Virginia CityCounty: State: NV
