Miniature Scottish basket hilt broadsword in sterling silver by "Garrard & Co. of London" showing appointment as goldsmiths and crown jewelers in the lid of the fitted case. The finely detailed mini measures approx. 12-1/2" and is approx 1/3 scale. The workmanship is excellent and the basket is beautifully detailed. The blade is fully hallmarked and the case is impeccably made with fitted bottom in the French style lined with satinin the lid and Moroccan leather exterior with gold book-binders trim. Condition is fine to excellent. We would date it 1900-1950. A superb miniature. Jerry Traillins collection. Est.;$ 1,500-$3,000.
