<td width="100%">
Very old miniature portrait of Mme. Bourbon-Conty signed on the right Drea. It is undated but appears to be painted on vellum, a material used to paint miniatures prior to the introduction of ivory (as a base to paint watercolor miniatures) in the 18th Century. According to the inscription on the reverse (see photo) the sitter is a lady from the Bourbon-Conty family, possibly Louise de Bourbon-Conty (1726-1759), Duchesse d'Orleans, a member of the French Royal family. The bronze frame is numbered and has an easel stand as well as a top ring that allows the miniature to be either placed on a table or hung on a wall. In very good used condition with wear to the frame's silk backing as shown. Please ask questions, request additional photos and shipping costs before buying.

Measurements: Frame: 3.3" Tall by 2.7" wide (8,5 cm by 6,8 cm); Image: 1.6" diameter (4 cm diameter) approximately.
