Original ink, colored pencil, and watercolor sketch of Steve Canyon on an off-white 7.25 x 10.5 sheet of Caniff’s personal stationery, signed and inscribed, “Steve Canyon for Michael Robuck, Best wishes, Milton Caniff, N.Y. April ‘71”; and an ALS from Caniff, dated April 13, 1971, reading, in part; “I am far from my home base…so I have made a drawing of Steve Canyon—who is better looking than I.” In fine condition, with intersecting folds to sketch, one through a single letter of signature, and a rusty paperclip impression to letter.
