This partial Sunday is a first-rate example of Milton Caniff's talent as both artist and writer. These four panels spotlight his dramatic use of black silhouette shapes, his mastery of facial expressions, his breakneck pacing, and his superb storytelling. In 1946, due to its rousing success from its debut, Milton Caniff requested and was denied ownership of Terry and the Pirates. As a result he left the title and created a new feature, Steve Canyon. These two panel tiers from the top half of the Sunday have an image area that measures 19" x 12", and aside from glue staining to the title logo stat, the art is in Very Good condition.

Shipping: Large Flat (view shipping information)
