It's identical to the finished design but for ink and paper color, and the fact that the outer frameline is a double line rather than the adopted single. First Issue Essays have a particular allure, as they are the very roots of Fractional Currency collecting. It is unfortunate that so few of them exist, because most collectors will never have the opportunity to own a single piece. In the field of Fractional Currency, prices are much lower than in most other areas of Numismatics, and excessively rare or unique items fit into the budgets of the majority of active collectors.
