Miller conversion of a Parkers’ Snow & Co. U.S. contract rifle, .58 cal., 39-1/2” barrel, bright finish, wood stock. This gun appears to be an assemblage project with good action, good bore, good markings andincomplete marriage of two different stocks (fore end piece is missing barrel band retaining springs and ramrod); re-construction of this interesting example piece was not finished before the passing ofour long-time friend and fellow collector; some additional effort can complete the task.
