Signed book: An Universal History, from the Earliest Account of Time, Vol. XV (only). London: T. Osborne, A. Millar, and J. Osborn, 1748. Handsomely rebound in modern boards, 5.5 x 8.5, 592 pages. The title page bears Fillmore’s ownership signature, “Millard Fillmore, Dec. 1, 1862.” Scattered light toning and foxing to signed and inside pages. The original covers are not present, but the book has been rebound as noted above. Adding to the desirability of the book, it has five engraved plates and a large folding map of the Roman Empire on page 104.
