Millard Fillmore CDV taken between 1855-65. ''Brady NY'' is written on the face of the photo; ''E. & H.T. Anthony, 501 Broadway, New York. / From Photographic Negative in Brady's National Portrait Gallery'' is stamped on the verso. Fillmore, Vice President under Zachary Taylor, became the 13th President upon Taylor's sudden death in 1850. He served only one term during which he signed the Compromise of 1850, an attempt to settle the divisive slavery issue. A two-cent proprietary stamp is affixed to the CDV. Very good condition.
