Allen urging an appointment for a Mr. Cadwallader. He writes, in part: "<I>Our friend, Mr. Cadawallader, ought to be clerk of the assembly. He has worked hard... and had nothing. I doubt whether a man can be found more competent or deserving...I have not always thought him very friendly to me, but I attribute that to his associations, and impute nothing to him...</B></I>" Light creases, else very fine condition. <I>Ex.
