Six items: a glossy 8 x 10 photo of the Hiroshima mushroom cloud, signed in black felt tip, “George R. Caron, Hiroshima, 8/6/45,” and in blue felt tip, “Paul W. Tibbets, Pilot–Enola Gay”; an endorsement signature from John C. Fremont, “J. C. Fremont,” on the reverse of a partly-printed document, March 2, 1868, in which the “Memphis, El Paso and Pacific Railroad Company… acknowledges itself indebted to John C. Fremont, in the sum of One Thousand Dollars”; a Civil War–dated autograph endorsement signed by Philip H. Sheridan, May 31, 1863, approving payment of $24.20 to Ellis Washington for “services rendered as teamster, in Co. ‘C’ First Illinois Light Artillery,” signed in the center of the document, “Apprd, P. H. Sheridan, Maj. Genl. Comg.”; a bank check, 6.25 x 2.75, filled out in another hand and signed by Richard E. Byrd, “R. E. Byrd,” payable to Cambridge Laundry for $29.26, May 5, 1932; a matte-finish 6.75 x 9 photo of James H. Doolittle in uniform, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, “To Bill Ashton: With every good wish, J. H. Doolittle”; and a partly-printed DS in English and French signed by Gregor MacGregor, 16 x 20, April 3, 1834. Two-language land grant by which MacGregor conveys two-hundred acres in Poyais to the purchaser for “one cent of a dollar per Acre annually.” Crisply signed at the conclusion in black ink by MacGregor. In overall very good to fine condition, with partial tape-repaired separations to the MacGregor document, and some spotting to emulsion near top edge of the Enola Gay photo.
