Militaria Medals; French General Military Service - France, III Republic. The National Order of the Legion of Honour (Knight with Diamonds) to M. Clemençon (Louis Auguste Celment) Squadron Captain 6th Regiment De Hussards (includes miniature dress issue). Instituted in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte. This is the highest French Order of Merit and is awarded for eminent service to the nation, civilian or military, 2nd Order of the Legion of Honour (Knights) (light enamel damage) & An Order Of The Legion Of Honour, V Class Knight. Lot of 3 different Orders all housed in original vintage cases. Comes with 2 seperate documents as PROOF of attribution to Louis Auguste Clement dating 1864. A superb set of Orders seldom offered with paper work.
