Mike Sekowsky and Frank Giacoia - THUNDER Agents #4, page 10 Original Art (Tower, 1966). Baron Von Kampf's weapon, "deadly dust," slowed the reaction times of those who breathed it in, and so his underlings were able to raid and sack THUNDER headquarters at their leisure. THUNDER's scientists responded with a counter-measure -- a suit that boosted an agent's speed a hundredfold; thus Guy Gilbert became the THUNDER agent code-named Lightning. Frank Giacoia's inks add a lush finish to Mike Sekowsky's dynamic pencils and, as always, the two made for a winning art team. The Chief, Weed, Kitten Kane, and Dynamite cameo on this final page from Lightning's origin yarn. The image area of the art is 12" x 18". Aside from a few touches of white-out used for art corrections, the art is in Excellent condition. From the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini. Richard says: "Tower Comics' "Thunder Agents" and spinoff series were one of the little gems of the silver age of comics. In a world dominated by Marvel and DC superhero titles, here was a universe all its own, with work of generally high quality. I wanted to own at least one example of anything from Tower, and this page became available. It didn't hurt that it was by Mike Sekowsky, whose work on the "Justice League" I had long enjoyed."
