The lot features a set of rare Mike Morales silver inlaid spurs from circa 1910-1920 and rare F. Shultz Victor, Montana tooled leather and silver concho spur straps. Mike Morales (b.1888-d.1934) apprenticed under G.S. Garcia’s in his Elko, Nevada shop at a young age until he moved to Pendleton, Oregon where he opened a bit and spur department for Hamley & Co. in 1910. In 1915 Mike moved to Portland and opened his own shop producing his own line of spurs sold by catalog. Each spur is marked with his squashed “M” signature. These come with exceptionally rare Frank Shultz of Victor, Montana spur straps showing excellent floral tooling and a large silver etched scalloped concho spot. Each spur strap is marked, “F. SHULTZ VICTOR MONT” and are from circa 1905-1915. Overall the spurs and straps are in very good condition and are exceptionally rare pieces. Each spur is 7 3/8”L x 4 3/8”W with 2.25” rowels. Spur strap has a 2.75" diameter concho and are 3 7/8" at the widest point.
