Mideast to North African flintlock pistol showing pearl inlaid stock with earlier silver inlaid barrel and lock with fancy brass and silver mounts. The pistol measures 24” overall with 15 ¾” heavy octagon barrel that is rifled and is madefrom an earlier Turkish style long arm. The lock plate shows hand forging and is inlaid with silver and gold colored metals. The stock is pearl inlaid and is similar to North African arms of the 19th century. The front barrel band is ofhammered silver with a touch mark that may be Turkish. The butt cap and side plate are cast brass. One lock plate screw is missing. The metal surfaces show some minor pitting and erosion and the condition is generally good overall. In ouropinion this pistol was made of earlier parts in the 19th century as good barrels and locks were never thrown away. Est.: $750-$1500
