Mid-eastern dagger with horn grips and silver mounts, circa 19th century retaining its original scabbard. The dagger measures 13-1/4” overall with 8” blade showing a fine Damascus-type pattern in the watered steel.The grip is dark horn; the engraving on the mounts and hilt match except grip cap is plain with a matching dark patina. The scabbard is decorated and in good condition. Reportedly brought to the U.S. by Iranianimmigrant in the post-Shaw era. Est.: $400-$800.
