Likely Delaware River valley - constructed of walnut and yellow pine, having single board top and sides encasing four graduated drawers each with string inlay and maple escutcheons all above raised flared French feet and nicely shaped apron. Yellow pine secondary wood throughout. It appears as if the rear board of the bottom two drawers has been replced. Measuring 36" wide by 36 1/2" high by 21 3/4" deep - nice example of a Mid-Atlantic chest of drawers from the Federal Period.
