It is a leather helmet with grey ear pieces and a chin strap, above a white nylon mesh skullcap. An electric communication cord is attached to the left ear piece. Two throat microphones and two earphones are installed in the front. The microphone headset was used for ground-based communication in both, at the space station and at landing, to contact the rescue team via an emergency radio transmitter.

The numberings ‘P58’ right and ‘N125’ left are sewed into the earpieces. The microphone headset is in used condition. The inner lining is stained. The foam lining of the earphones is partly missing. The dimensions are 20 x 25 x 28 cm.
