(Walt Disney Studios, 1939) Original production cel and matching production drawing of Mickey Mouse from Mickey's Surprise Party, which was specially produced for the National Biscuit Company, or Nabisco. The cel and drawing show Mickey with his tongue out and covered with kisses that Minnie Mouse planted on him at the end of the cartoon. The cel image measures 3.25 x 4.5, with overall dimensions of 12.25 x 10; the same-sized matching drawing image is accomplished in graphite on untrimmed 12 x 10 animation paper. In overall fine condition, with three light vertical folds to the drawing. Mickey's Surprise Party, the first cartoon with Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their current designs, is also notable for being the first Disney product of any kind to be sponsored by a company, and one of a few Disney cartoons to be in the public domain. A desirable display-ready side-to-side pairing of a love-struck Mickey.
