<B>1980's Mickey Mantle "With the Shakes" Signed Photograph.</B></I> Almost as famous for his carousing and boozing as he was for his tape measure home run blasts, the Mick surely wasn't at his best when he laid sharpie to photograph for a fan. After a successful "Best wishes" greeting, Mantle falters with the formation of the first letter of his given name. He then goes on to complete his autograph, and add the explanation "With the Shakes." And so this rather ugly autograph becomes one of the most desirable we've seen on a photo, as it speaks to both the demons that haunted this magnetic star throughout his life, and the terrific sense of humor for which he was also beloved. One thing's for certain--you'll never see any Mantle piece with this inscription again. So bid now or forever hold your peace. Photo measures 8x10". <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.</B></I>
