Serbian American physicist and physical chemist (1858–1935) who is best known for his numerous patents, including a means of greatly extending the range of long-distance telephone communication known as the 'Pupin coil'; he was also was a founding member of National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA), which later became NASA. In fine condition, with repairs to spine ends, bumped corners, and mild sunning to spine. For this autobiography, Pupin was awarded the 1924 Pulitzer Prize for Biography or Autobiography.
