Black wool fedora hat originally designed to be worn by Michael Jackson during the ''Dangerous Tour.'' Fedora was never worn due to Jackson's 1993 cancelation of the tour's third leg, when he announced he had become dependent on painkillers and suffered from dehydration, migraines and stress. Hat previously owned by Benny Collins who was Production Manager/Director for Michael Jackson's tours and live shows from 1984-1994. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity dated 28 September 2009. In part: “Please find attached to this note a hat that was originally designed to be used by 'Michael Jackson' during the 'Dangerous Tour' and was suppose[d] to be worn by him during the show and then tossed into the audience as a memento for a lucky fan…My Name is Benny Collins and from 1984-1994 I was the Production Manager/Director for Michael Jackson's Tour and other live performances including the Bad, Dangerous & Part of the History Tour as well as other performances such as his appearance at the Super Bowl. I have printed this letter on old MJJ stationery to further authenticate this item and my statements…Thank You & Take Care / Benny Collins.” Michael Jackson's name is stamped on inner band of hat.
