British physicist and chemist (1791–1867) best known for his development of the first dynamo and the discovery of electromagnetic induction. ALS signed “M. Faraday,” one page, 4.5 x 7, February 26, 1840. Letter to naturalist and botanist John Edward Grey, accepting an invitation “merely to make sure that all is correct.” Intersecting folds, light mirroring of ink, and pencil notation to top edge, otherwise fine condition.
