1890 Fifth Edition. The Meyer Konversations-Lexikon is an historic German encyclopedia, first published in 1839. The final issue appeared in 1964. It was created by Joseph Meyer for the general public for those in business, technical, and scholarly trades. This is the 17-volume fifth edition (Funfter Band.), in German, from 1890, and it has more recently been professionally rebound with brown leather-textured covers and gold-leaf embossed titles on the spines. The condition of the interior pages is excellent, and every volume is extensively illustrated with detailed maps, line drawings, illustrations, and color plates that might still appear in a modern publication on similar subjects. Each volume is about two inches thick and contains around 1,000 pages. As a whole, the set provides keen insights into the way people in Germany and much of Europe thought about the world at the time these were published. This exquisite set would be an exceptional addition to your research library. Germany 1890-i1 Fifth Edition Germany
