Mexican machete from late 19th to early 20th century showing classic 26-1/2” blade, 31-1/2” overall with carved horn grip showing eagle head. The blade nicely engraved “tre dos traidores” on one side surrounded byflorals, and “soy el azote” on the reverse. The blade shows “FR” maker’s cartouche in cactus flower. The blade show some pitting, normal aging. The original tooled leather scabbard shows some opening at the seams,normal aging, and its hangar has become detached but retains an original strap. The horn grip retains some original cracks, small losses. Est: $175 - $350
