<td width="100%">
Some of Mexico's finest folk art are in their hand painted skirts. These skirts from the 30's, 40's, 50's, are especially wonderfull. This skirt almost tell the whole history of Mexico. The Mexican Eagle (the old one), on one side, and the Aztec Calendar on the other with Mayan temples, cactus, and indian designs all around. Painted on cotton velvet, like some of the pictures in the 1950's, this is truly a piece of wearable art. The price is great too, these skirts are now commanding prices of $1,500.00 or more in NY, LA, Santa Fe. In really good condition, you can see some signs of wear at the waistband, but overall really good conditon. The skirt measures 25 inches from waistband to hem, the waist measures 28 inches, and the skirt is a full circle of about 4 yards. This is spectacular hung on the wall, then you take it down and wear it! Thank you for shopping in the land of Enchantment, where Three great cultures come together!
