Meteorite Campo Del Cielo  (10x5mm) set into a modern lunar landscape, circular stamped 925 sterling silver pendant. 1 3/8". 4 grams weight, meteorite & silver. Campo del Cielo refers to a group of iron meteorites & to the area in Argentina where they were found. Containing iron masses, they were reported in 1576, but were already well known to local aboriginal inhabitants. The craters & their surrounds contain many fragments of an iron meteorite.
