Lot of 2. Perspectives of men and store interior. Photographs measure 6 1/2”x4 3/4”, dark green single mattes 9”x7”, high to medium contrast—tends toward the grays, and the focus is sharp. Period writing on back identifies location and individuals in Photo. Photograph one identifies men right to left, Olney, Ottman, U. L., Mr. Green, Hooker, Chad Bourne, and Horton. Shop owner identified as Lee Broshears. Photo two identifies men right to left, Ottman, U. L., Parsons, and Hooker. Both photos have holes on the corners from which they once hung by string. No photographer identified. Metcalf is located approx. 8 miles northwest of Clifton and was a copper camp up Chase Creek. The town was named for Robert Metcalf, in 1872, one of the first owners of the famous Longfellow Mine.
