<B>Five Contact Prints Made From the Originals in the Frederick Hill Meserve Collection</B></I>. An important lot of six contact prints made from the originals in the legendary Meserve Collection. Included are four different portrait studies of Thomas Carlyle, each 2” x 3.25”, loose mounted on a folded 8.5” x 11” backing sheet with hand-written captions, fine condition. Also included are images or President and Mrs. Lincoln, each 2” x 3.25”, made from the original glass Matthew B. Brady negatives, loose mounted on the verso of a folded 8.5” x 11” backing sheet, in fine condition. A similar contact print of Frederick Hill Meserve appears on the recto with a typed caption indication that the Lincoln images were a souvenir of the meeting of the Civil War Round Table of New York, November 1, 1953. <I>Ex.
