Merwin and Hulbert patent revolver manufactured by Hopkins and Allen in .44 M & H caliber with nickel finish, hard rubber grips, serial number 18860. This revolver is double action with a solid top strap.Approximately 90% to 95% plus original nickel remains with just some slight losses at firing areas and some minor erosion and aging just starting. The barrel address and markings are crisp and clear. The triggerguard and hammer show 80% to 90% original case hardening. The small parts and screws show most of the original finishes. The hard rubber grips are near fine and show bright blue on the grip screw. The action is goodand the bore is near excellent and this revolver is still very tight with suction on closing. A strong 9+ on a 1 to 10 scale and also a difficult variation to find in .44 M & H caliber with top strap and in doubleaction. Est.: $4,000-$8,000.
