Merwin & Hulbert Third Model Pocket Army DA revolver, factory engraved with panel scene of an American Buffalo, .44-40 cal., 3-1/2” barrel, nickel finish, ivory grips, #6162. This gun is pictured in Art Phelp’s book, “The Story of Merwin, Hulbert & Co. Firearms” on page 86. The gun is in overall very good to near fine condition showing approx. 45% original nickel with balance gone to a dark un-cleaned patina; crisp action, good bore, full coverage engraving, very good markings and beautiful period ivory grips in very good to fine condition. These guns were a favorite on the Western frontier and popular today with collectors. This particular gun was one of the late Art Phelp’s favorites. Est.: $3,500-$5,500.
