SN: 25198 Single action revolver manufactured by Hopkins & Allen in Norwich, CT circa 1876-1880's. Features bare metal finish, checkered black gutta percha grips, 6.75" barrel, fixed sights, twist opening frame for ejection, sliding plate loading gate, lanyard ring at butt. Bore is eroded & pitted, with fair to good condition rifling. Metal surfaces are generally smooth, with some scratches and small areas of tiny pits. Barrel markings are mostly eroded, left side of frame marked "CALIBRE WINCHESTER 1873". Grips are good or better condition, slightest evidence of shrinkage, small chips to corners of butt. Action works smoothly with good lock-up. Opening the frame reveals damage to cylinder connecting feature, cylinder does not move with barrel to allow extraction/ejection. Small piece broken from rear of barrel assembly is the top latching dovetail portion (provided loose in bag). Condition is NRA Poor due to breakage *** Antique Firearm ***
