Merkel combination cape gun, 16ga (choked Extra Full) over 8x57mm rimmed. Barrels marked on left side of breech “GG Almendinger, Goppingen” agents. Serial #18511 showing prewar German proofs. The gun measures 43-1/2” overall with 26-1/2” barrels Is nicely stocked in select walnut with good checkering. The gun is equipped with a Helia 2.3 to 7 power scope on later Zeiss claw mounts which are fitted to this arm. The action is lightly scroll engraving, cocking indicators, set trigger on rifle barrel, classic German styling mounted with sling swivels, horn buttplate. The gun shows approx. 80-90% original blue evenly thinning and toning, slight losses, a few nicks at the edges, 40-60% toning case hardening, very good plus wood stocks showing just some slight wear to the checkering on the forend. The action is tight, the barrels are fine to excellent, and the gun show selective ejectors. Est: $2,500 - $5,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
