Merkel 12ga over/under shotgun showing 30” barrels choked “Modified” over “Improved Cylinder”, single trigger, auto ejector, low profile rib, two-piece forend, serial #57047. The gun remains in very good used conditionshowing 90-95% original blue on barrels, some thinning at the edges and normal aging. The receiver is nicely game-scene engraved in typical game scene motifs and shows a satin grey with just some minor aging. Thetriggerguard is brightly blued with 96=5% remaining. The gun is equipped with a Miller selective trigger which is the same vintage. The stocks are good to very good with some slight wear, minor dings, mars, scratches,and the remnant of an old label behind the pistol grip from Mexico. The stock measures 13-5/8” to the end of the wood, 14-3/8” to the end of the pad. The action locks tight, the bores are fine to near excellent and thegun is chambered to 2-3/4”.
