FDC with a cachet honoring Project Mercury, signed in ink by six of the original seven Mercury astronauts: Alan Shepard, John Glenn, Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, Gordon Cooper, and Deke Slayton. In fine condition, with a few spots of soiling and light toning from envelope glue just touching four of the names. According to our consignor, the signatures were all obtained at a 1991 Mercury Seven Foundation banquet celebrating the 30th anniversary of Shepard’s flight. Accompanied by copies of photos taken at that event.
