Lot of 60 plus. Most issued in the 1880s. With 4 vignettes. The Merchants' Exchange of St. Louis, founded in 1836, was the first organized commodities-trading exchange in the United States, serving as a major hub for grain, freight, and river commerce in the Midwest. Its grand 1875 headquarters featured the largest indoor open space in the nation at the time and even hosted the 1876 Democratic National Convention. Though once central to St. Louis's economic life, the Exchange declined in the 20th century, and its historic building was demolished in 1958 as part of downtown redevelopment.
