Elite shirtless men wore these at Festivals. Almost rare today as men did NOT like to make or wear them….((<:). Ifugao Tribe from northern Philippines, 1910-1940 (use generally ceased after WWII, and certainly production did). Seat is quite worn, a few minor holes for unexplained reasons, and it has been restitched in the post-WWII period with wrong positioning of one side to produce uneven matching at the top of the front side (can be easily resewn to correct). Cheap thusly for the difficulty in finding a nice old one.
