Glossy 4.75 x 6.75 postcard with an image of The Jerusalem Post from March 27, 1979, with headline, "Israel and Egypt sign peace treaty declaring end to 30-year state of war," signed in the lower border in black felt tip, "M. Begin." In very fine condition. In 1978, President Carter hosted Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin at Camp David for clandestine peace talks. Six months later, on March 26, 1979, Begin and Sadat met in Washington, D.C., to sign the Egypt-Israel Peace Treaty, for which the two won the Nobel Peace Prize.
