Victorian framed memorial lithograph. I do believe it is in it's original plaster frame. The memorial is a preprinted item with slots to slip in the cards with the loved ones info on it. This one is for a father and a son, it seems. The card is inserted into a slot just below the egg timer in the print. It says the following: In Loving Rememberance of My Dear Father and Brother. Anderson Coleman. Died Mar.7,1892; Aged 68Y 8M 15D. George Died Mar 17,1892:Aged 25Y 1M. 2D. The poem inserted in the slot reads: Call not the dear departed, Anchored safe where storms are o'er, the border land we left them, Soon to meet and part no more. When we leave this world of changes, When we leave this world of care, We shall find our missing loved one(?s) In our fathers mansion fair. I would guess you had a number of choices as to which poem you would like to use. The very bottom edge of the paper has the following info: Copyrighted&Published by T.W. Cambell, Elgin, ILL., 1892/Werner/Akron. O. The frame is in good condition, when you consider it's age. It has glass in the frame. Some wear and the corners are seperating a bit. I tried to show that in one of the pics. There are a few chips in the plster here and there. It is painted a pinky cream color with blue around the outside.
