Beautiful Meissen reticulated porcelain compote decorated with hand-painted flowers and gilt (appears to be the Strewn Flowers pattern). Marked with first quality crossed swords (bowl and foot) in blue on the underside. The sword handles end in a slight curve consistent with the Meissen mark in use in the 1815-1918 period. This compote is still being manufactured by Meissen today and a new one sells for the equivalent of USD$1,800. In very good condition, as shown.
