<td width="100%">
Lion dog (shishi) form, with a nicely fashioned forward folding hinged lid,
smoke is supposed to escape through shishi's menacing tooth filled mouth, and thus ward off evil spirits, the work well executed with the typical dark patina complemented by the colorful red, white, mustard yellow and turquoise-colored Champlevé Enameling, with a bulbous body and a small funny curled tail raised on four lion dog feet. This rare and unique piece would make a superb addition to any fine collection or household.
